Krakens Produce a Try-Scoring Spectacle

The Krakens flew off the line straight away, winning back their kick-off and getting up to the try line within minutes. Scrum-half Aileen saw an opening, picked the ball from the back of the ruck and stretched over the line for their first try... only for the referee to realise, after he had awarded the try, that it was actually five metres short! This didn’t dishearten anyone, as Megan Douglas quickly went over the correct line two minutes later.

The forward momentum continued for the rest of the first half, with lots of great carries from everyone.

Lochaber were dangerous when they had the ball and made the most of the Krakens’ slow defence just before half-time to get over the line.

Half-time: 39–7

The second half didn’t start so well, with Lochaber scoring again quickly after the break. Then, after a run of penalties, Caitlin received a yellow card. The Krakens didn’t let their heads go down. They dug deep and got moving forward again. Lots of great offloads produced another flurry of tries, making the final score 78–14.
