Unbeaten day at Moray for Caithness U12s and U14s Girls

A long day out for our U12s and U14s at Moray RFC 20/09, leaving Millbank at 7.15am and getting home almost 12 hours later.

The U14s started off with some mixes 7s with four teams involved: Caithness, Moray, Ross Sutherland and Highland. After one 7-a-side game they moved onto 10-a-side, with Caithness/Highland taking on Moray/Ross.

The girls had a great day, getting plenty of rugby and mixing things up with players from the other clubs. It was brilliant to see everyone getting involved and putting into practice the things we’ve been working on at training.

Our U12s were Caithness plus three Highland players and had a really good day too. They played a combined Glenurquhart and Deeside mix followed by Moray, before finishing with a 12-a-side game where our girls joined up with three Glenurquhart girls against the rest.

Our girls showed some really good rugby throughout the day. We had three girls making their U12 debuts today, with Chantelle, Kirsty and Hannah getting their first taste of girls festival rugby. They all played awesome and have great futures ahead of them!

A massive well done to every girl who travelled and pulled on the green today.  The coaches from the other teams were very complimentary about our girls skills, drills and tackling ability

Special thanks to our team mums Cat and Jacqueline and our senior girls Leigh and Taylor who also made the journey down to assist with the coaching. It was a long day, a lot of rugby and a lot of travelling, but the girls were fantastic from start to finish as evidenced by the fact that neither age group lost a single game.
