Caithness Debutants Impress for Combined U13 Side

Sunday 6th September, U13 boy age group, combined with Ross Sutherland/Skye, against Moray. There were only two players available from Caithness on the day both making their debuts at this age group and playing in their first full-pitch game: G. Bacon and O. Ruff.

Both guys played really well, with Ruff scoring a hat-trick of tries, using pace and fast stepping to evade attempted tacklers. Bacon settled in well in the front row of the scrum and the lineout. He also put in a lot of effort across the pitch, making good tackles, so well done, lads 👍.

The game ended with Moray winning by 11 tries to four. The combined team started slowly, with Moray playing well, but the combined boys started to compete better as the game progressed. With most of the backs being Ross and Skye players, they showed some good attacking flair, while the forwards competed better at the breakdown.

With a few games together, this could be a very good squad. Well done, guys.
